A celebrated symbol of Country French tradition, the making of bread. Created in Provence France during the 19th century, this highly collectible antique was a bread safe to lock away perishable treasures from children and pets placed on a table or hung from a wall. Surrounded by turned spindle rails and decorative finials along the top. Hand carved behind its crown, you will find the original craftsman’s initials, “F.E.”

Bombe front design masterfully showcases the sculpture's hand carved creation. Original lock and key, hand carved door, apron, cornice, spindles, finials and snail shaped legs are a feast for the senses. This conversation piece would be a perfect wine safe, dish cabinet, or a unique way to display bouquets of flowers. Use it as an end table, nightstand, or pedestal.
